Virgin Gorda BVI The Baths, Virgin Gorda
If you've only got time to make one sightseeing stop on Virgin Gorda, make sure you visit The Baths, Virgin Gorda's most popular and interesting destination. Located near the island's southernmost tip, The Baths Virgin Gorda is a combination beach and quirky twist of geology that has formed giant house-sized boulders along the coastline. Largely because of The Baths, Virgin Gorda has a reputation for great snorkeling; cathedral-like grottoes and crystal-clear tidal pools makes swimming in and around the area a treat. Visitors to The Baths, Virgin Gorda, also have access to a spectacular white-sand beach there, and a small beach grill will curb appetites hungry after hours of cave exploration. Note: because of The Baths, Virgin Gorda attracts groups from neighboring islands - avoid large crowds by visiting in the early morning or late afternoon.
Aside from The Baths, Virgin Gorda is home to a few other spots worth seeing. For a peaceful walk up to the island's highest peak, check out Virgin Gorda Peak National Park in the interior. Little Fort National Park is not too far north of The Baths; Virgin Gorda opened in this wildlife sanctuary around the ruins of an old fort - an interesting two-for-one point of interest.
